Brown, Goldstein & Levy partner Kevin Docherty has been selected to participate in The Leadership’s Class of 2024. The Leadership is an intensive nine-month program designed to develop the competencies, knowledge, behaviors, and perspectives of Baltimore’s leaders and help them grow in their positions of influence.

Each year, The Leadership brings together more than 50 leaders from public, private and not-for-profit organizations. The 63 members of this year’s program (The Leadership’s 40th Class) will join the 1,900 participants who have completed the program previously.

“I am honored to be selected as a member of The Leadership’s Class of 2024,” Kevin said. “Baltimore has been my personal and professional home for the last two decades and I look forward to deepening my understanding of, and connection to, the City while building skills and relationships that will help me grow as a leader.”

“We’re thrilled to launch our 40th Flagship Program class and to convene a wonderfully diverse and talented group of extraordinary people who are leading throughout the Baltimore region,” said David Sachs, The Leadership’s Executive Director. “The Class of 2024 joins a legacy of leaders who have contributed significantly to Baltimore, strengthening our organizations and the civic fabric of our community. Through their experience together, these leaders will further strengthen their capacity to mobilize others to catalyze change throughout the region.”

The program – which includes intensive programming as well as diverse field experience – aims to deepen participants’ understanding of Baltimore’s history, challenges, assets, and people, strengthen their capacity to lead in their organizations and communities, and forge substantive relationships to provide and build a network for collective action.

At BGL, Kevin maintains a diverse practice representing individuals in civil rights litigation, employment disputes, and personal injury matters. He also counsels and represents businesses and businesspeople in ownership disputes and other complex commercial litigation.

Kevin is also an active member of the legal community in Maryland. Since 2015, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Maryland Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Since 2019, Kevin has served on the Board of Directors of the Homeless Persons Representation Project, Inc.
