BGL proudly celebrates 2024 Women’s History Month. – Technologist
In celebration of Women’s History Month, Brown, Goldstein & Levy celebrates the vital role of women in American history. We are proud of BGL’s first managing partner, Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum, and all our women attorneys who go above and beyond to bring the highest quality legal services to clients in Maryland, DC, and across the country.
From our high-impact civil rights and voting rights work, to commercial litigation family law, personal injury and everything in between, our women attorneys are critical to the advancement of justice across a wide array of cases nationwide. They have been instrumental in winning landmark cases across various practice areas.
In 2023, BGL was named an Empowering Women Honoree by The Daily Record, representing the firm’s tangible efforts uplifting women in law and the community. The honor recognizes both the firm’s efforts as a whole and the guidance of Sharon in her role as a leader and mentor as managing partner.
BGL takes pride in our consistent sponsorship of many professional development events for women, investing our time and financial resources generously in women-centered organizations and causes – including the Women’s Law Center of Maryland and Baltimore magazine’s Women Who Move Maryland annual celebration, which highlights exceptional women professionals across the State. Our attorneys are deeply involved in the Baltimore community, serving on boards and committees of a diverse array of local organizations like My Sister’s Place Women’s Center, a non-profit day shelter and resource center for women and children experiencing homelessness and poverty in Baltimore. Our attorneys are also integral members of or hold leadership positions at Executive Alliance, an organization dedicated to increasing the number of women in corporate leadership positions, and The Riveters Law Club, which aims to help women in law advance through networking and speaking engagements. It is the first law club in the State that is both formed by and focused on women attorneys.
BGL would not be the firm it is without our women attorneys’ dedication to their legal skills, advocacy of their clients, the development of the next generation of women lawyers, and steadfast leadership.
We are proud to continuously celebrate and uplift the vital role that women play in the legal landscape. BGL remains committed to making sure our actions are consistent with the firm’s historic voice of equality and the belief that women attorneys are entitled to strong mentorship and enjoy equal opportunities in succession planning.
