HPE Enhances AI-powered Network Management With Expanded Capabilities – Technologist
Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced significant upgrades to HPE Aruba Networking Central, its AI-driven network management solution, aimed at improving network management, security, and performance. The latest enhancements include new AI insights and the integration of OpsRamp for monitoring third-party network devices from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper Networks, and Palo Alto Networks.
Mark Ablett, vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan at HPE Aruba Networking, emphasized the importance of these updates: “As enterprises look to accelerate AI networking strategies, the latest expansion of HPE Aruba Networking Central will deliver new AI insights and capabilities to help our customers advance network management.” He noted that the integration of third-party device observability aims to simplify multi-vendor network management.
The new features also include an enhanced network device configuration engine, which streamlines the management of network configurations across various platforms. This is complemented by improved network observability and AI-generated optimizations, drawing on insights from a rapidly expanding customer base.
The acquisition of OpsRamp in 2023 has significantly bolstered HPE Aruba Networking Central’s capabilities. The addition enhances contextual network observability by providing insights from a diverse range of devices, thereby reducing operational blind spots and facilitating quicker health monitoring and troubleshooting.
HPE Aruba Networking Central’s Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) capabilities have been upgraded with the integration of HPE Aruba Networking User Experience Insight (UXI). This allows for continuous monitoring of service level agreement (SLA) compliance from a unified interface, enhancing visibility from the user to the application.
Keven McCammon, global head of Digital Infrastructure Services at Henkel Corporation, shared his perspective on the improvements: “Deploying, upgrading and patching a global network is complex and time-consuming. With the latest version of HPE Aruba Networking Central, we look forward to increased automation that reduces our deployment windows across 400+ sites from weeks to hours.”
The enhancements also come with a significant increase in AI capabilities, with three times more trained models added in the last six months. These models are derived from a data lake encompassing telemetry from over 4.6 million network-managed devices and 1.6 billion unique customer endpoints, reflecting substantial growth in 2024.
Earlier this year, HPE Aruba Networking introduced new AI-powered security observability features to address IoT security risks, alongside behavioural analytics-based network detection and response capabilities.
