Brown, Goldstein & Levy was a proud sponsor of the National Federation of the Blind, Maryland Chapter’s, Annual Crab Feast, hosted on Sept. 20 at Rosedale Gardens. Proceeds from the Crab Feast benefitted the John T. McCraw Scholarship Fund, established by the NFB Maryland Chapter to promote post-secondary educational opportunities for blind students in Maryland. 

Partners Eve Hill and Dana McKee, along with Dana’s family, represented BGL at this year’s Crab Feast. Eve serves as the General Counsel for the NFB at a national level, where she has worked to ensure that companies, organizations and government entities across the country provide fully accessible services to blind individuals. Eve, and several other BGL attorneys, have stood alongside the NFB in high impact cases dealing with access to technology, voting rights, fair employment, government services and more. 

BGL has worked with the NFB since 1986, when Founding Partner Dan Goldstein took on the general counsel role for the organization. He was the first lawyer to successfully argue that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) applies to the virtual realm. Dan maintained this role until his retirement in 2017 before passing the baton to Eve.
