Brown, Goldstein & Levy partners Chelsea Crawford and Neel Lalchandani joined the Greater Baltimore Chapter of Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) on May 14 for a presentation regarding accommodations on high-stakes tests and in the workplace. 

Chelsea and Neel shared their experiences regularly assisting students and professionals seeking accommodations on high-stakes standardized testing and in the workplace. Their 90-minute presentation covered the process for securing accommodations in a timely manner, the meaning of “reasonable requests,” and how to challenge a denial of requested accommodations. 

CHADD is the world’s oldest nonprofit organization providing support for individuals and families impacted by ADHD. Greater Baltimore is one of the organization’s oldest chapters in the country, serving Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Howard County. The chapter aims to empower individuals impacted by ADHD, and those who care for them, by connecting and sharing experience and information with others similarly affected.

Neel and Chelsea both practice within BGL’s disability rights section, where they advocate on behalf of individuals with disabilities who need accommodations on exams and standardized tests. Neel has written several blogs regarding accommodations in high-stakes testing and recently presented on the subject at Brooklyn Law School.
