Chelsea Crawford To Present For MSBA Legal Summit Series – Technologist
On July 25th, partner Chelsea Crawford will present a webinar part of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Legal Summit Series. Chelsea’s presentation, “Rule 35 Mental Examinations – Raising Challenges and Setting Limits’ will broadly discuss ways to challenge and/or limit mental examinations pursuant to Rule 35 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
Mental examinations are common in cases where a plaintiff is seeking damages for mental health or emotional injuries. Chelsea’s presentation and discussion will explore when these damages are truly ‘in controversy’ and how to set parameters or limit the scope of an examination. Chelsea will also discuss how to remain client-centered throughout the Rule 35 examination process.
Attendees who are registered will be eligible to receive a one-hour credit for surrounding MCLE states of Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
Chelsea’s work and affiliation with the Maryland State Bar Association dates back to 2017, when she served as the Co-Chair of the Publications Committee for the MSBA Young Lawyers Division, a role she held until 2020.
