Eve Hill celebrated the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act speaking about the current state of digital accessibility compliance. – Technologist
In celebration of the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) being signed into law, partner Eve Hill presented at a webinar entitled, “Navigating Digital Accessibility Compliance: Midyear Legal Trends and Insights,” hosted by Level Access on July 29. Level Access Chief Innovation Officer Karl Groves and Vincent Castiglione, Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary for Tata Consumer Products were also speakers.
The webinar took a deep dive into the current state of digital accessibility compliance. Eve highlighted 2023 trends in case law, including lawsuit velocity and high-profile headlines; anticipated changes in standards, regulations, and rulemaking; and how organizations should respond to meet compliance obligations. She recently authored an article for Level Access covering these issues, which you can read here.
Vincent shared his insight on how U.S.-initiated lawsuits aimed at his international organization were a “wake-up call to do the right thing.” He also offered advice on how individuals and organizations can champion disability rights advocacy on a global scale.
Level Access works with various companies on digital accessibility solutions, helping to create accessible and legally compliant websites, mobile apps, software, and other technology.
