Eve Hill, partner at Brown, Goldstein & Levy, delivered a keynote address on Prioritizing, Planning, and Implementing Accessible Technology at an International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) workshop hosted at the 12th Annual M-Enabling Summit in Washington D.C. The workshop was part of a three-day conference from Oct. 15 to 17 that brought leaders in digital accessibility and inclusion together to discuss building an inclusive digital world for people with disabilities.
Eve’s presentation explored how organizations and individuals can ensure that technology is accessible to everyone, regardless of disability. She highlighted lessons learned from those who have prioritized digital accessibility and the businesses she consulted with as the leader of Inclusivity, BGL’s Strategic Consulting Group that affirmatively took on accessibility as a business imperative. Inclusivity works with organizations to promote the education, engagement, and employment of people with disabilities.
“Technology has the power to transform lives, but only if it’s accessible to everyone. We are all responsible for ensuring that no one is left behind as we move into an increasingly digital world,” said Eve Hill in her address.
The day-long workshop highlighted the impacts of organizational accessibility maturity models and provided an overview of 14 recommended criteria and an interactive resource application. The workshop was led by nine other experts in the field, including BGL founding partner Daniel Goldstein for the workshop.
